Nitte-KBL MSME Conclave - 2022

Nitte-KBL MSME Conclave - 2022 organized by AIC Nitte Incubation Centre and sponsored by Karnataka Bank and Co-sponsored by Union Bank of India and Bank of Baroda and associate sponsored by Cara Bank, the Campco Limited. The Nitte-KBL Conclave 2022 was inaugurated by Shri Vishal Hegde, Pro- chancellor at Nitte (Deemed to be University). Balachandra, Chief Operating Officer, Karnataka Bank and CA K. Ullas Kamath, Founder UK&Co. Bengaluru were present as guests. Shri Vishal Hegde while delivering his Inaugural address explained the need to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs in the ever-changing Business environment. He appealed to the owners of MSMEs to adopt a transparent system in Managing the day-to-day operations and always strive for excellence. Dr AP Achar, CEO of AIC, Nitte welcomed and provided the overview of the conclave. CA. SS Nayak Past Chairman, ICAL Mangalore as Chief Coordinator and Vote of Thanks By CA MN Pai Nitte KBL MSME Business Excellence Award Ceremony was inaugurated by Mahabaleshwara, MD & CEO of Karnataka Bank. Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor, (Nitte Deemed to be University) was present as Chief Guest. Start-Up Mind-Set - 2022

AIC Nitte Incubation Center in association with Swastika National School, and Mangalore Productivity Council, Mangalore, and Rotary Mangalore DownTown has organised a four day ‘Start-Up Mind-Set’ entrepreneurship training program for aspiring entrepreneur undergraduate and postgraduate students to successfully execute their start-up business plan and be a hassle free Entrepreneur.

Suraj Hebbar Neria, Rotary- Mangalore DownTown have organized and hosted the event. Dignitaries from various reputed organisations: Dr AP Achar, CEO of AIC Nitte, CA S.S. Nayak, Past Chairman ICAI- Mangalore & Chief Convenor, Shri Vinay Bhat, General Manager Karnataka Bank, HO- Mangalore, Dr. Malini N Hebbar, Principal, Swastika National School, Mr. Naresh Bhat, Host Zyro Consultation- Mangalore, Subhash Banrega, Entrepreneur National Trainer- JCI, Shri Ramakrishna Achar, Director, Elixer India & Managing Trustee, Sanjeevani Farms and Dairy trust, Mr. Mridul M Mahesh, Managing Director, QUIZZARIO, Mr. Cany Mendonsa, Branding & Marketing consultant, Mrs Komal Prabhu, Hotel Maharaja- Mangalore have joined in this event to share their experience, encourage the students and offered their support to build a strong start-up ecosystem in the Karavali region. The program has provided a platform to exchange views, ideas, promote entrepreneurship and the latest innovations and offered learning like registering for MSME, IE Code, Trade License, TIN and other documentation required for commencing a new venture and becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Nitte Healthcare Innovation Hackathon - 2021
25th, 26th, 27th March 2021

AIC – Nitte Incubation Center in association with Nitte (Deemed to be University) and event partnered with HiiiH Innovations Pvt Ltd has organized a 3-day Nitte Healthcare Innovation Hackathon to address the health discrepancies in resource-limited settings, where there is a dire need for cost-effective medical technologies that can deliver high quality, affordable and sustainable health care. 

This Hackathon platform brought together diverse stakeholders of the medical industry to solve critical health challenges through co-creation and innovation. This 50-hour Hackathon included support on technology, innovation, design thinking and keynote address by experts. Working in teams, participants competed for cash prizes and talent exposure, while creating innovative, tech-based solutions to challenges thrown by the industry.

The Winners of this Hackathon won a cash prize of INR 50,000 & first runner-up won a cash prize of INR 25,000. The benefits such as Mentoring support, Industry experts connect and Incubation support with a possible seed capital investment of up to INR 25 Lakh (subject to evaluation) is provided to the top five teams. 

 
AgriTech Hackathon - Innovation Concepts
6th, 7th, 8th May 2021

Nitte National Jackfruit Conclave – 2022 is supported by National Institute of Agricultural Marketing- Hyderabad, National Institute of MSME- Hyderabad, Karnataka Bank Limited and  organized by AIC Nitte Incubation Center, Sri Dharmasthala Siri Gramodyoga Samsthe (R) , and Suphala Farmer Producer Company Limited. The main objective of this Jackfruit Conclave is to create a forum for discussion on the dissemination of knowledge and technologies on jackfruit, strategies for value addition, and the importance of establishing a network of breeders, food processors, farmers, businessmen, researchers, and scientists.

Around 225 participants from different parts of India participated in the event, Entrepreneurs in Food Processing Industries, farmers,  Buyers & sellers of Jack fruits, researchers, and Representatives from Governmental & Non-Governmental Bodies promoting jackfruit. National Level Institutes participated in the conclave are, National Institute of Micro, Small and Micro Enterprises- Hyderabad, National Institute for Food Processing Technology- Tanjore, Center of Excellence for Farmer Producer Organizations- Bengaluru, Siddhartha Medical University- Tumkur, Department of Horticulture- Karnataka, Indian Institute of Horticultural Research-  Hessaraghatta, Hitakari Nurseries- Bengaluru, Agri Business Incubator- Kerala, Jackfruit Promotion Consortium- Kerala, SIRI Dharmasthala Gramodyoga Samsthe- Dharmasthala,  Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology, Nitte, FPOsinterested in Jackfruit, Fresh fields International- UAE Dubai, and Organic Products, Karnataka & Tamil Nadu.

The introductory session is delivered by Dr. AP Achar, CEO of AIC Nitte, Keynote Address by Dr. Ashok S. Alur, Director COE for FPO, GO. 

Eminent personalities participated were Dr Bala Krishana Shetty Vice-Chancellor Siddhartha Medical University- Tumkur, Dr S.V. Hithalamani. Additional Director of Horticulture, Dr Kariyanna, Managing Director, Hitkari Nursery, Dr Sudheer K.P, Head Agribusiness Incubator- Kerala, Mr ShajiGR –Coordinator Jackfruit Promotion Consortium, Mr Naga Chirthra- Founder of Anusha Ventures, Jack Anil – Farmer Researcher in jackfruit Putter, Dr S. Glory Swarupa, Director General, NI-MSME- Hyderabad, Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandari, Vice-Chancellor Nitte (Deemed to be University) Dr Janardan, Managing Director – SIRI Dharmasthala.

AIC Nitte Pre-Incubation Program was inaugurated on 5th July 2022 by Dr. Subramanya G-Chairman & Managing Director of Sudeeksha Group of Companies, in presence of Dr. A P Achar, CEO of AIC-Nitte, Mr. Pradeep BV, Co- founder at Obvious Technology, Mr. Kiran Darisi, Co founder at freshWorks, and Mr. Suresh Bhagavathula, Professor at IIMB. 30 early-stage start-ups are participating in the pre-incubation program.

Dr. Subramanya G encouraged participants to take part in the successful entrepreneurial journey. All three speakers gave insights on the entrepreneurial mindset and shared their entrepreneurial journeys.

Interactive session on Commercialization of Innovations held on July 5th 2022. Dr. Arun M Isloor, Dr. Srinikethan, Dr. AP Achar and other dignitaries from Nitte University inaugurated the session by lighting the lamp. Dr. A P Achar, CEO of AIC Nitte, gave the insights on functioning of AIC, Nitte and encouraged the researchers and faculty members to utilise the opportunities of incubation centre and seed funding facilities for their startup. Dr. Arun M Isloor gave insights about innovation and opportunities to convert their innovation into commercialization He talked about fruitful implementation of innovation to the market. He encouraged researchers and faculty members to do continuous experiments for fruitful outcomes.

Nitte Startup Day -2023

Startup India is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, intended to catalyse startup culture and build a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India. To mark and celebrate the entrepreneurship spirit on the 7th anniversary of Startup India initiative, Nitte Startup Day – 2023 program was organized.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sathesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor. Nitte (Deemed to be University). The welcome address was delivered by Dr. A P Achar, CEO of AIC Nitte Incubation Centre. The vote of thanks by Dr. Srinikethan, President, IIC Nitte (Deemed to be University). More than 50 startup founders, academicians, and enthusiastic students who aspire to be entrepreneurs have participated to celebrate the Nitte National Startup day.

Our Guest speakers Ms. Shylaja Rao, Managing Partner at Ventana Ventures, Mr. Dikshith Rai, CEO at CodeCraft Technologies, and Ms Farheen Sayad, CEO and founder, VanillaKart shared their experience and insights about the startup ecosystem. Networking of startups session, Prototype exhibition and product presentations from startups have been successfully organised and moderated by Mr. Puneeth Rai, Incubation Manager, AIC Nitte Incubation Centre and Mr. Manohar Reddy, Business Development Executive, AIC Nitten Incubation Centre.
